Good Luck Campers!

Some of you may be aware of NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) in November.  In quick summary, writers across the United States try to write 50,000 words (a typical 200 page novel) during the 30 days of November.  I’ve tried and failed multiple times.

This month is Camp NaNoWriMo, as we get to set our own goal, and are set with cabin-mates in similar genres.  I set my personal goal at 20,000 words this month, which already requires me to double my regular writing goal.  I set my goal before I realized how busy I’d become with suddenly working full-time, editing 130,000+ words for another job, and becoming a game tester for two weeks.

Though it’s all exciting and I’m loving it… it’s a little overwhelming.  Chores were set aside, not to mention reading, but this week I’m hoping to get back on track.  Sometimes it’s nice to slow down and… do laundry.  Weird, huh?  But laundry has become my Audible time, and I started H. G. Wells’s “The Time Machine,” which is already boggling my mind. Nothing like jumping into philosophical questions to get your mind thinking creatively!

I should have a book finished by next week, but for this week, I need to get back to writing. 🙂  Good Luck Campers!
